Wirex Partners With Visa

Wirex, a London-based digital payment company, has announced a long-term service agreement with Visa that will enable it to expand its crypto card services to more countries around the world. This partnership makes Wirex a global partner of Visa and allows them to reach customers in over 40 countries.

Crypto Card Services In UK and APAC Markets

The new agreement between Wirex and Visa will allow Wirex to offer crypto card services to UK and APAC markets. It also gives customers access to 80 million locations where Visa is accepted around the world for payments using their cryptocurrency assets. Additionally, customers can receive 8% cashback instantly when making payments with their cards.

Wirex’s Milestone Achievement

The partnership between Wirex and Visa is seen as an important milestone achievement for Wirex since it was the first company to introduce crypto-card services back in 2015 in partnership with visa itself. In 2020, they became a principal member of visa in Europe while in 2022 they successfully raised $15 million during their Series B funding round.

Visa’s Core Objective

Visa seeks to introduce more crypto-linked payment methods for more markets through this partnership with wirex which Mat Wood (head of digital partnerships at visa in Asia Pacific region) believes would make it easier and seamless for people living in these regions “to spend their crypto balance at millions of merchants that accept visa.“

WireX’s Next Move

With this global partnership now finalized, wireX has set its eyes on finalizing another card partnership related to Australia within the coming weeks
